There is a large number of stores and websites available for you to purchase your next cool spy gadget from. The question is where?
A store located in the same town or city as you will offer a speedy transaction but sometimes lacks convenience and privacy. It’s not always easy to find the time during business hours and may offer a limited selection. There are hundreds of spy equipment store websites available but which one do you choose?
What To Look For
- Location: Find a website within your own country, or at least one that can ship international without large shipping charges.
- Reliable: Many spy gadget websites are internet versions of a physical store. This isn’t mandatory but useful if you need to get a hold of someone or want to drop by and browse the product first.
- Quick Shipping: Find a website that can ship same or next day. No one wants to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery.
- Returns: Make sure you can return the product for a full refund if you are not satisfied.
- Window Shop: Don’t order from the first place you find. Check other sites for the best price possible.
- Privacy: Many websites offer discrete packaging and credit card charges for your privacy.
- About Us: Check the About Us link on the site you are considering purchasing a product from. If it’s just some person’s hobby website, chances are you aren’t going to get the quality service and products you are looking for.
- Secure: If they don’t offer a secure transaction, do not submit your credit card information.
Options
Search using Google for top ranked sites. Here are a few (I’m not affiliated with these sites but they are advertised by Google). Click to check them out.
Try eBay for a variety of spy gadgets, but make sure to check the seller out before purchasing. Many spy cameras are very cheap and come from China, which isn’t a bad thing, but make sure to look into the seller’s profile before bidding (what’s their rating, any negative feedback?, how many items sold, etc). I have personally purchased a couple pinhole cameras from a seller located in China, and I received it quickly and in perfect condition. As with any eBay purchase, make sure to check out the seller and make sure that the price you pay is for the product and not the shipping. Some sellers will sell you their products for $0.01 but charge $39.95 for shipping. Not only is this against eBay policies, but it also means if anything goes wrong you will only be refunded $0.01.
Amazon.com is also a good place to purchase your latest spy gadgets. Amazon offers a variety of products, including many new, used or “on sale now” items that might interest you. Try searching Amazon here:
